Citrix Expands Channel Program, Pays Partners for Embedded XenServer Solutions

Citrix said that it has expanded its Citrix Advisor Rewards program, paying partners on sales of XenServer shipping as an embedded feature in servers from original equipment manufacturers (OEMs).

According to the company, the program will pay Citrix Solution Advisors for the development and delivery of XenServer solutions, even if another channel partner ends up fulfilling the order. The expansion is intended to compensate all partners involved in the delivery of embedded XenServer solutions, effectively increasing the channel resources available to manufacturers embedding Citrix solutions.

"We continually work with our partners to build the most profitable partner program and the most skilled partner community," stated Al Monserrat VP Channels, Strategy & Sales Operations for Citrix, in a prepared statement. "As a channel-centric company, we recognize the value our partners bring to a total solution, including the specification of hardware that includes embedded Citrix products."

Recently, Citrix has announced several OEM agreements that will embed XenServer in servers from vendors such as HP, among others. The agreements increase Citrix market share, while the expanded partner program rewards members across the channel.
